Comment policy

We encourage you to comment on posts and interact with other visitors.

You are welcome to agree, disagree or simply ask questions. The goal of allowing comments is to enable us to learn from one another, so don’t be shy. If you are wondering about something, it’s quite likely that someone else is too. And if you can answer someone’s question, go ahead!

Please bear in mind these guidelines:

  1. Comments are public. You never know who may one day see what you have written.
  2. Try to stay on topic. If what you have to say isn’t even tangentially related to a post, this isn’t the place for you to say it. But, if your comment or question arose as a result of reading or thinking about the post, it’s likely fair game – go ahead!
  3. Be gracious. Remember that authors and other commenters are people too, and have feelings. This site is intended to be a friendly place for you and other visitors. You’ll also be much more likely to convince if you make your point nicely.
  4. If you disagree with someone, try to make your point from Scripture. We are unlikely to be convinced by traditions or opinions unless they are in accord with what the Bible teaches.
  5. Be edifying. A biblical critique of someone’s doctrine is welcome, but rudeness and personal attacks are not. There is a difference. No personal invective will be permitted.
  6. Be patient. It may take a little while to respond to your comments, if at all. Please don’t be offended by this, it isn’t personal. Of course, someone else may help out be responding to you.
  7. Your comments and insight are (possibly) important! We may therefore wish to reproduce your comments in the future, so that they receive a wider audience – perhaps even on a different website or via a different medium. Please only post comments if you grant permission for them to be reproduced, with or without modification.

We reserve the right to moderate all comments at our sole discretion. Adhere to the above guidelines, and your comments are likely to be published.

Thank you in advance for contributing.

Grace and peace.
