It is all about reconcilliation between men, not between man and his creator. There is a danger of a new tower of Babel here, “We want to develope common ground” instead of “earnestly contend[ing] for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Agape does not mean unconditionally accepting every one as an equal Christian brother – it means loving without counting the cost. That is different, true love tells the truth about truth.
